Jubilee Road Leisure Gardens Society AGM
Held on 13th May 2018, commencing 11am, at Jubilee Road allotments. About 25 members and guests present.
The meeting was opened by the chairman Tony Flavin and he made a tribute to the former Treasurer Graham Johnson who passed away 2 months earlier. He also praised Michael Bunyan for his help in obtaining funding and installation of the Eco toilet. Finally he reported that the allotment was awarded 3rd place in Ealing in Bloom.
Gerry informed the meeting that the minutes for the AGM held on 23rd April 2017 were posted on the notice board next to the old trading hut for members to read and hard copies could be provide if required.
Following the death of Graham, the accounts were taken over by Michael Bunyan until a new treasurer is elected. He produced last year’s accounts showing £381.01 in the current account and £3897.46 in the deposit account. He informed the meeting that £1045 had been raised from the Ealing Forum to cover the cost of the Eco toilet leaving £176 to renew the roof of the machine shed. General running costs were covered by the £10 subscriptions and £232.47 excess carried over to the next year.
Site Manager’s Report
Michael said the allotment profile had been raised by coming 3rd in Ealing in Bloom. We are now able to get some priority from the council for repairs. There are 3 plots vacant and will be let once the plots have been cleaned as there are 15 people on the waiting list. Also he has approached the council for new fencing on the east side of the allotments.
The council will be posting new allotment rules in September including the use of bonfires and plot holders were warned about the hazards caused by the Oak Processionary Moth.
Finally Michael said that as the Data protection Act is being replaced by the General Data Protection Regulations and as a result data held is held more securely.

September Open Day
This will take place on 16th September 2018. Volunteers will be needed to help organise this event and should give their details to Michael. Councillors Charan and Tariq said they were prepared to take an active lead with the organisation.
